A mother and her son, rejected by husband and father.  These pictures show the problem of early marriages in the city of Maroua.  Marriages done on the eve of the start of Ramadan are undone on the eve of the feast at the end of Ramadan.

A sign for a public primary school in the neighbourhood of Hardé.  I took this picture to raise the issue of low rates of girls education in the North.  MDDHL should sensitize parents on the rights of young girls.  The department of Social Services and the department of the Promotion of Women and Family are the responsible partners.

A picture of children in an overcrowded classroom – 97 instead of 60 students per teacher as prescribed in Cameroon’s new education policy.

Here we see an anxious woman, a case of abandonment by her family. The woman feels wretched for what has happened to her.  She is otherwise left to the care of a defender of human rights from the courts.  The partner of first recourse for changing this is the court.

A true African family.  A home is sharing, mutual respect, support for children. Education for children is assured.
